Genau hier hat das TOLMINATOR FESTIVAL vor zwei Jahren erstmals angesetzt, um die gute Tradition hochwertig bestückter Metal-Festivals in echter Urlaubs-Atmosphäre in Tolmin auf ein neues, familiäres Level zu hieven. Von Liebhabern für Liebhaber!

Trivia: Kataklysm is known for a frequently used drum pattern known as "Northern Hyperblast", after an advertisement in M.E.A.T. magazine describing another band, Fear Factory, as "hyperblast". The term refers to the extremely fast blast beats that former Kataklysm drummer, Max Duhamel, fuses into the music; The pattern often contains fast sixteenth beats on the snare drum, which are combined with a slow beat on the bass drum.

Trivia: According to Jim Mutilator in the book 'Non Serviam', he created the band in 1984 under the name Black Church along with some of his classmates. Later on, Sakis Tolis and Themis Tolis joined Black Church and they changed the name to Rotting Christ in 1987.In 2016, due to legal issues regarding religious groups in South Africa boycotting the band, they will be performing under the name Χ Ξ Σ there.

Tolminator statement: 40 years being a Dirty Rotten Imbecil!
Trivia: The band's name stands for "Dirty Rotten Imbeciles". D.R.I. are considered by many to be "the fathers of crossover thrash" along with Suicidal Tendencies, S.O.D., M.O.D. and Excel. According to an interview with Kurt Brecht, they did not coin the term "crossover" themselves, but rather adopted it from people starting to refer to the band's roots in one genre (punk) crossing over into the metal crowd. D.R.I. is considered one of the first bands to use the blast beat with their song "No Sense!" from their Dirty Rotten EP.

Trivia: Ahab is the captain of the Pequod, the whaler who is hunting for the white whale Moby-Dick in the book of the same name by Herman Melville. The sticker on their debut says the band plays "Nautik Funeral Doom" due to their obsession with the ocean.
