Last month Utah alt pop band The Aces announced the release of their much anticipated debut album, When My Heart Felt Volcanic on 6th April. Today the band is excited to share the newest track taken from the album ‘Lovin’ Is Bible’.
'Lovin’ Is Bible is a very interesting track off of our album. Musically it’s a very intricate song and it took us a few days to really get it right and for all the different parts to fit together. We really want people to take away a universal message of love from this song. A message that over every and any belief or any opinion, love is the most important. That’s how we try to live our lives every day.’- The Aces

Die Bostoner Indie-Band BUFFALO TOM veröffentlicht heute via Scrawny und Schoolkids Records ihr neues Album "Quiet And Peace". Bei The Los Angeles Times steht der Longplayer als Stream bereit.
Quiet and Peace is a compelling 11-song set that finds the trio—singer-guitarist Bill Janovitz, bassist-vocalist Chris Colbourn and drummer Tom Maginnis—simultaneously mining their best-known sonic elements while breaking new ground on emotionally resonant new tunes such as "All Be Gone," "Overtime," "Freckles" and "CatVMouse." Buffalo Tom's first collection since 2011's Skins, Quiet and Peace was mixed by John Agnello (Kurt Vile, Sonic Youth, The Hold Steady) and marks the band's first collaboration with producer and fellow Boston alt-rock legend David Minehan, renowned ex-leader of the Neighborhoods.

CASEY - Neuer Song "Bruise" / "Where I Go When I Am Sleeping" am 16.03. via Hassle Records / Tour im April
Das aus South Wales stammende Quintett CASEY steht kurz davor, sein zweites Album "Where I Go When I Am Sleeping" bei Hassle Records zu veröffentlichen. Um die Zeit bis zum Release am 16. März noch ein wenig zu verkürzen, folgt nach "Fluorescents" und "Phosphenes" nun der dritte Vorab-Track "Bruise".
Das Lied stellt eine Art Verknüpfung zwischen dem ersten "Love Is Not Enough" und dem nun kommenden zweiten Album "Where I Go When I Am Sleeping", wie Sänger Tom Weaver erklärt:
"‘Bruise’ explores how I feel now about the topics I was writing about on the first record. It also looks forward, introducing the idea that the experiences I’ve been through have left me in a fragile state, which leads into a feeling of guilt and of insufficiency, not feeling deserving enough of happiness.”
Im April werden CASEY im Zuge ihrer Europa-Tour auch im deutschsprachigen Raum auf einigen Konzerten ihre neuen Songs live präsentieren.
Zusätzlich zu ihrer Show am 4. April im Naumanns werden CASEY an dem Tag außerdem eine exklusive Akustik-Session in den Impericon Headquarters spielen - im intimen Kreis von nur 40 Fans. Die GOLDEN TICKETS werden unter allen Pre-Order (egal wann getätigt) verlost.

Am 01.06. erscheint das gemeinsame Album von Dave Alvin und Jimmie Dale Gilmore DOWNEY TO LUBBOCK (Yep Roc /H'art).
Die LA TIMES hat gerade den ersten Song präsentiert.
“It’s like we’ve been playing together since we were kids,” says Downey, California’s Dave Alvin of his musical partnership with Lubbock, Texas native Jimmie Dale Gilmore. Given their myriad of shared influences and the undeniable chemistry the pair exhibits on ‘Downey To Lubbock’ (June 1/Yep Roc Records), it seems hard to believe they haven’t.
Friends for over three decades, it took Alvin - the founder of seminal punk roots band The Blasters – and Gilmore, of the pioneering country-folk trio The Flatlanders, until last year to collaborate at long last. Embarking on a spontaneous twelve-city tour, the two seasoned veterans of the road found a mutual love of New Orleans Rhythm & Blues, Texas and West Coast Country Music, traditional folk and early Rock n Roll. Their duo sets could effortlessly drift from Merle Hagard to Sam Cooke to the Youngbloods, and the pair had so much fun they began planning a record as soon as the tour wrapped.

Once again leaving genre boundaries in the dust, The Garden twins return with ‘Mirror Might Steal Your Charm,’ out 30th March via Epitaph Records. Taking the audience away into a still unfathomed sound world and bringing back some of the scuzzier elements of their earlier work, the duo’s more guitar focused third album is another sublime slice of post-modern pop. Welcome back to a land that’s familiar, slightly out of sync, and a little bit unnerving.
Wyatt and Fletcher Shears (24) have been conceptualising their own style since well before the formation of the band in 2011. Described as auditory invaders of the new world; borderless, informed and decentralised, the duo represent a youthful punk scene in California with their DIY principles, thrift store-cum-glam fashion style and a vast list of influences. While 2013’s ‘Life And Times Of A Paperclip' offered a glimpse into their breakbeat-propelled world of electro-punk anarchy, it was their innovative Epitaph debut ‘Haha’ (2015) that proved them to be much more than style over substance, sadistically teasing all essences of musical genres into 17 wonderfully chaotic tracks. New single ‘Stallion’ is the first track on the album and is out today. The boys’ had this to say on its video:
"The song itself is a refers to a build-up of aggression and discontent with one's self and how carrying that heavy weight on your back leads to more problems. The video portrays a slightly different image for certain reasons, but gives off a similar feeling to the message of the song. It follows the struggle of a young business man who is consumed with the desire to flaunt his currency and act a fool. Haunted by a demon he cannot see, he tries to find ways to deal with what he truly is."

Epitaph Records is pleased to announce the signing of Minnesota emo band Remo Drive. The label has also reissued Remo Drive’s full-length debut Greatest Hits. Originally self-released in 2017, the long-sold-out album is now available to purchase on CD and vinyl.
On March 9, Remo Drive will make their Epitaph debut with an EP titled Pop Music. Today also marks the premiere of Remo Drive’s new single “Blue Ribbon”, the opening cut from Pop Music. With its intricate guitar melodies and frenetic drumming, the high-energy track features heartfelt vocals and the band’s signature sardonic humor.

24 Jahre Bandgeschichte und noch immer mit demselben Line-Up unterwegs - am 11. Mai wird die US-Heavy-Rock-Band SEVENDUST ihr mittlerweile zwölftes Album "All i See Is War" via Rise Records veröffentlichen.
"All I See Is War" wurde vergangenen Herbst im Studio Barbarosa in Florida in Zusammenarbeit mit Produzent Michael "Elvis" Baskette (ALTER BRIDGE. SLASH, COLDRAIN, STORY OF THE YEAR) aufgenommen und ist der Nachfolger von "Kill The Flaw" (2015), mit dem die Band nicht nur ihre bislang höchste US-Chartposition verbuchen konnte, sondern außerdem 2016 für den "Best Metal Performance" GRAMMY Award nominiert wurde.
