AMERICAN NIGHTMARE - "Gloom Forever"-Musikvideo
Rise Records and iconic Boston hardcore band American Nightmare are pleased to present the brand new music video for “Gloom Forever”. Directed by Travis Shinn and Jeremy Danger, “Gloom Forever” is a standout track from the band’s recently released, critically acclaimed self-titled album that illustrates the band’s stylistic fusion between hardcore and gothic post-punk.
American Nightmare represents the band’s rise from the ashes, expanding their legacy and reestablishing the band as titans of the genre in the process. BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME gelten als eine der bahnbrechendsten und innovativsten Bands ihres Genre, die auch nach 15 Jahren Bandgeschichte noch immer in neue Dimensionen vordringt.
HEUTE veröffentlicht die Progressive-Metal-Band mit "Automata I" den ersten Teil ihres zweiteiligen Konzeptalbums via Sumerian Records und präsentiert zur Feier des Tages auch gleich das Musikvideo zu "Millions“.

"'Millions,' is told from the perspective of a child dealing with loss. However, in the video we wanted it to be a platform that represents the entire album and the main protagonist's many faces he wears. It represents what is contained within the album and hopefully it will urge the listener to dive into the story of 'Automata'.
Every single week music comes and goes. We can get music instantly and with this luxury, the listener has a hard time sitting down with albums and exploring their every twist and turn. Because of this, we have decided to release our new album in two parts. Our music is dense and our albums are very long, so we want to give people two separate moments to dive in this year and explore new music that we’ve put our entire being into. We hope you enjoy the creation as much as we’ve enjoyed the process."

BIRTH OF JOY - "Let It Slide"-Musikvideo / Tourdaten
Wir freuen uns sehr, euch mit "Let It Slide" das neue Video von BIRTH OF JOY präsentieren zu können.
Obwohl Kevin Stunnenberg, Bob Hogenelst und Gertjan Gutman von Blues-Rock und vom Psychedelic-Rock der 1960er und 70er stark beeinflusst wurden, vermeiden sie es wie eine Retro-Kopie zu klingen und überraschen auf ihrer neuen Single "Let it Slide" mit einem modernen Mix aus Stoner, Grunge und Punk. "It is time to get up and free your mind from everything that keeps you down. We are not machines but consciousness beings", sagt die Band über den Song.
Das niederländische Psychedelic-Rock Trio hat in den letzten drei Jahren 450 Konzerte gespielt, darunter Festivals wie u.a. The Great Ecape (UK), Bobital (FR), Montreux Jazz (CH), Pinkpop (NL) oder das Orange Blossom Special (DE). 2014 wurden BIRTH OF JOY für einen Edison Award nominiert, gefolgt von Headliner Shows in Ägypten, der Türkei, Südafrika und Russland. 2016 eröffneten sie für MUSE und stellten mit 172 Konzerten in nur einem Jahr ihren persönlichen Rekord auf.
Das neue Album "HYPER FOCUS" ist am 16.02.2018 bei Glitterhouse Records erschienen und wird nicht nur Freunden von All Them Witches, Kadavar, Blues Pills, Motorpsycho oder King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard gefallen.

Austin psych-rock godfathers The Black Angels have shared a music video for "Half Believing", lead track off their latest record 'Death Song' out now on Partisan Records. Guitarist Christian Bland says of the clip "the idea was to create a mini 'Twilight Zone’ episode, where a man's life flashes before his very eyes before he enters eternity. Where he ends up, no one knows."

Am 30.03. erscheint das neue Album der US Songwriterin KIM RICHEY. (Albuminfo unten). Hier noch ein Geheimtipp, dürfte sie aber doch vielen bereits durch ihre diversen Kollabrationen bekannt sein.
"Chase Wild Horses" ist ein toller Americana - Songwriter Track, mit leichtem Country Einfluss, einer fliessenden Melodie und einem sehr catchy Refrain.

Am 27. April ist es so weit: MIDAS FALL werden ihr neues Album "Evaporate" via Monotreme Records veröffentlichen.
Nachdem Elizabeth Heaton und Rowan Burn bereits den Titeltrack sowie "Soveraine" vorab vorgestellt haben, präsentieren sie nun den Opener "Bruise Pusher".
Elizabeth Heaton:
“Bruise Pusher is about living in a volatile environment, constantly anticipating the underlying tension erupting into something hideous and unsettlingly familiar. The song started with just a simple piano melody, so to develop the track we used a lot of guitars with rumbling, saturated reverbs and gradually added heavy synths to create textured, expansive choruses.”
"Evaporate" wurde in Argyll, Schottland, aufgenommen und besticht mit seiner dunklen, gotischen Seite, die im gleichen Maße zart wie auch brutal daherkommt. Nach "Eleven. Return And Revert" (2010), "Wilderness" (2013) und "The Menagerie Inside" (2015) ist es bereits der vierte Longplayer des Duos.

NEKO CASE - Neues Album "Hell-On" am 1. Juni bei ANTI- / Titeltrack im Stream / Album-Teaser
NEKO CASE hat für den 1. Juni den Release ihres neuen Albums "Hell-On" bei ANTI- angekündigt - eine Sammlung aus farbenfrohem, enigmatischem Songwriting mit ihren bislang wagemutigsten Arrangements. Den Titelrack stellt NEKO CASE schon jetzt vor.
"Hell-On" wurde von NEKO CASE persönlich produziert, bei sechs der insgesamt zwölf Songs hatte sie dabei Hilfe von Co-Produzent Bjorn Yttling (Peter Bjorn & John). Gemixt wurden die Tracks von Lasse Martin in Stockholm.
Das Album featured Gäste wie unter anderem BETH DITTO und MARK LANEGAN.

"My name is Neko Case. I am a music producer, songwriter, and musician. I just finished a record called ‘Hell-On’ with a cast of talented musicians, techs, label folks and friends.
What I want you to know about me isn’t too much, nor do I want to over talk it. What you take away on your own, as a listener is most important. I worked really hard and I was present for every second of this project. Producing a record is a huge task and there were times I was deep in the weeds, but that is normal for a record that takes a year plus. The weeds aren’t so bad. There were a lot of break-through moments, belly-laughs, sleepless nights and grubby, shiny jeans. In the end it was all worth it and I am so proud of how it turned out, and I am so grateful to have worked with such dedicated, giving artists to make it happen.”

PENNYWISE haben ihr neues Album "Never Gonna Die" für den 20. April bei Epitaph Records angekündigt. Die legendäre Punk-Band um Sänger Jim Lindberg, Gitarrist Fletcher Dragge, Drummer Byron McMackin uns Bassist Randy Bradbury veröffentlicht damit ihren ersten Longplayer seit über einer Dekade!
Einen Vorgeschmack auf ihr mittlerweile zwölftes Album haben PENNYWISE auch schon parat: Der Titeltrack "Never Gonna Die" steht ab sofort als Stream bereit, der von Lindberg als "the seemingly immortal practice of handing down our ancient biases, prejudice, and religious dogma from each generation to the next" beschrieben wird.
Er ergänzt:
“The goal of the song is to try and get young people to finally say enough, and that the system isn’t working. It’s going to take a massive evolutionary shift in consciousness to change it, starting with the youth, because unless we do, we’ll just have more of the same carnage we’ve seen happening all over the world reincarnated with every new generation.”
"Never Gonna Die" wurde von Langzeit-Kollaborateur Cameron Webb (Motörhead, NOFX, Alkaline Trio) produziert. Im Juni und Juli wird die Band die neuen Songs im Zuge ihrer Europatour außerdem auch ausgiebig im deutschsprachigen Raum vorstellen:

WALTER "WOLFMAN" WASHINGTON - Neues Album "My Future Is My Past" am 20.04. bei ANTI- / "Save Your Love For Me"-Stream
“I’m used to playing with another person. To do something like that by myself, I was kind of nervous,” said New Orleans’ Walter “Wolfman” Washington of his intimate new record My Future Is My Past, coming out April 20. Featuring Irma Thomas, Ivan Neville and Jon Cleary and produced by Ben Ellman of Galactic, this is the Wolfman’s first album with ANTI- Records.
“Oh man, it was really a thing,” he smiled and continued. “I had never done something like that. I had to really discipline myself where I couldn’t really underplay and really overplay, so I had to stay really in the middle which was a trick for me. I was amazed at my own self at how it turned out.”
Watch the Wolfman’s solo capabilities in the new song and video for “Save Your Love For Me”, where he performs alone in a stark white room with only his voice and his guitar on display.
