Weitere Infos:

The Devil Makes Three auftritt.

"Everything Is Fine", das neue Album von Amigo The Devil, wurde von Ross Robinson (Korn, Glassjaw, At The Drive In) produziert und featuret Schlagzeuger Brad Wilk (Rage Against the Machine, Audioslave, Prophets of Rage) bei der gesamten Aufnahmesession. Wir akzeptierten einfach, was durchkommen, was gehört werden wollte.

Andy Shaufs FOXWARREN – Veröffentlichen weiteren neuen Song "To Be" / Album “Foxwarren“ erscheint am 30.11.

Andy Shauf zum Song: “It was a guitar riff that I'd been playing for a few years at least, trying to figure out what to do with it, It went through quite a few versions if I remember correctly. Foxwarren have a bad habit of never finishing vocal melodies and lyrics before we finish the music, so it made it a bit tricky and ended up being overhauled at the last minute.”

“This album shines a light on what is brilliant about Andy - which is his words and that unique voice of his, which I am definitely attracted to.” – Bob Boilen, NPR Music

"Everything Apart” is one of the most imaginative, gorgeous, and stylish singles of 2018, and if listeners can expect the same amount of talent and charm from the album, this will be a quick contender for Album of the Year." – Atwood Magazine

Weitere Infos:
As college friends, Foxwarren - Andy Shauf (guitars/keys/vocals) and his childhood friends Dallas Bryson (guitar/vocals) and brothers Darryl Kissick (bass) and Avery Kissick (drums & percussion) - initially bonded over Pedro the Lion and drew influence from The Band and Paul Simon.
“To Be” was one of the first songs written for the project. “We tinkered with it for ages and ended up drastically reworking it the weekend it was recorded, but we knew early on that it was going to be the opening song on the record,” Darryl said.

Now a decade into the project, Shauf reflects on their debut release: “So much time and effort went into making this album; it's something I think we're all really proud of. My touring and recording schedule got pretty wild over the past three or four years, so it put the Foxwarren album on the backburner. Making the album was such an enjoyable time - the collaboration and frustration of it all. All of us trying to make something better than we previously had. I'm excited to get it out into the world and have other people listen to it. We've been a band for 10 years or so and never properly released an album, so this is special for the four of us.”

DELICATE STEVE – Veröffentlicht "The Christmas Album" - Stream und feiert tropischen "White Christmas" - Videoclip

Musikvideo "White Christmas"

“The Christmas Album“ - Stream

‘THE CHRISTMAS ALBUM’ TRACK LIST:
1. Silent Night
2. Away in A Manger
3. Silver Bells
4. O Little Town of Bethlehem
5. Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas
6. White Christmas
7. The First Noel
8. Little Drummer Boy
9. Frosty The Snowman

Weitere Infos:
The nine standards on Delicate Steve’s The Christmas Album (Anti- 2018) are faithful, intentional or not, to the essence of what makes great Christmas music timeless. These songs are grounded in something deeply familiar, but channeled through the celestial perspective that has been a hallmark of the acclaimed guitarist, songwriter, and producer’s music thus far. They come without regard to genre, geography, or calendar, or reality, really -- from a place we know, but that never exactly was.

Understood it may be atypical to use the term ‘murderer’s row’ on a holiday record, but that’s who showed up to help Steve bring The Christmas Album to life. Joe Russo (Cass McCombs, Trey Anastasio, drums), Dave Dreiwitz (Ween, bass), Marco Benevento (keys), Kelly Pratt (St. Vincent, Arcade Fire, horns), and Dan Iead (Cass McCombs, pedal steel) naturally guide arrangements that catch glimpses of the Shangri La’s pomp (“Away in a Manager”), the Swampers swamp (“O Little Town of Bethlehem”), a martini-soaked department store visit (“White Christmas”), and the slack-key-vibed “Silver Bells.” They also have to take partial credit for inspiring the first time use of the phrase ‘absolutely epic one-two punch of “Little Drummer Boy ----> “Frosty the Snowman,”’ which closes out the record.

The Christmas Music magic is here on The Christmas Album, but Delicate Steve’s addition to the canon brings with it its own gift. It imagines for us new memories, returns us to different places. It is our past untethered from reality. On offer is a new nostalgia; turns out, it is a welcome respite.

Stream "Hire"

"It was invigorating playing stripped down and raw when Girlpool began. As we change, what gets us there is going to change too."

Zuvor veröffentlichten GIRLPOOL schon die Vorab-Tracks "Lucy's" und "Where You Sink", die auch auf "What Chaos is Imaginary" erscheinen werden.

Weitere Infos:
Never before has a group's maturation been so transparently attached to the maturation of its members. This is due in large part to the fact that Girlpool came into existence exactly when Girlpool was supposed to come into existence: at the most prolific stage of the digital revolution. Both online and in the flesh, Tividad and Tucker practice radical openness to the point where it may even engender discomfort; this is exactly the point where it becomes clear why theirs' is such a special project: they accept the possibility of discomfort-Chaos-and show you how to figure out why you might feel it. This is achieved through their ability to empathize as best friends and partners in creation, with the intention of making music that provokes

The growth they have fostered in one another over the years explains the project's disparate discography; each record is a photograph of Girlpool, growing over time. Their roots are a certain shade of punk-organized chaos dressed as earworms. "Where You Sink," one of the first singles off their upcoming record, What Chaos Is Imaginary, gives you an idea of how much things have changed since 2014.

Their solo work consistently breathes new life into Girlpool. The two have since become comfortable with the process being more independent, more fluid. They both take part in the production and arrangement of the music, but they've strayed from beginning hand in hand in every instance. They connect somewhere along the way, working together when it feels right.
Discussing the new process, Harmony says, "It's helped me find validity in parts of my writing I found to be unapproachable. I thought my stream-of-consciousness was unsophisticated." There's probably a great pun available re: shedding self-consciousness to release a more sophisticated stream-of-consciousness. In any case, What Chaos is Imaginary-the record and the song-is what the stream looks like when self-consciousness is shed.

Where Harmony embraces chaos, Cleo organizes it. "It's hard for me to feel completion without achieving a vision that I have. I'll imagine the kind of climate I want to create inside a song," says Cleo of his process. "Once I fall in love with the direction, it's getting there that can take time." Finishing a song may take time and even prove to be difficult for him at times, but the product is invariably polished. Considering the near-perfect balance in the songs on What Chaos is Imaginary, their dynamic makes sense. "It took a really long time to record this record. It feels like a photograph of a very transitional time."
It's hard to imagine what might follow What Chaos is Imaginary. Girlpool's growth has a steady momentum forward, towards something greater with every stride that they take. By the time the record comes out, they'll be far from here, wherever here is.

WHAT CHAOS IS IMAGINARY Track list
1. Lucy's
2. Stale Device
3. Where You Sink
4. Hire
5. Pretty
6. All Blacked Out
7. Chemical Freeze
8. Lucky Joke
9. Minute In Your Mind
10. What Chaos Is Imaginary
11. Hoax and the Shrine
12. Swamp and Bay
13. Joseph's Dad

PRESS CLUB – Debüt-Album am 25.01.19 auf Hassle Records

“One of our records of the year for sure – so great.”

“A rootsy, passionate emo-punk gem… They’re another band with an incredible frontwoman, Nat Foster, whose voice imbues the songs with passion and yearning.” - Kerrang!

“One of our records of the year for sure – so great.” - Dan P Carter, BBC Radio 1

“There’s plenty of buzz surrounding Press Club, with firebrand frontwoman Natalie Foster proving she has one of the strongest set of pipes that we’ve heard in a while.” - Rolling Stone Aus

Weitere Infos:
With Press Club having already risen way out of Australia’s underground punk scene, to become one of the country’s buzziest new bands, today they announce that they have signed to Hassle Records for the UK / EU release of their debut album Late Teens on Jan 25. Support from the influential Triple J radio station has come thick and fast for the band, with a number of singles gaining heavy rotation, and a coveted “Like A Version” session slot generating over 150,000 views. Rolling Stone Australia and Beat Magazine have also touted the band as Ones To Watch, as the first pockets of UK media support have begun to emerge from Kerrang! magazine and the BBC Radio 1 Rock Show’s Dan P Carter.

Press Club are also sharing lead single and accompanying video for Headwreck http://smarturl.it/Headwreck two and half minutes of frenetic, raw, self-assured and commanding punk, stacked with buzz-saw guitars and brimming with honesty. The track is about a place we’ve all been; in a relationship with someone that doesn’t treat you right, doesn’t respect you. It’s a call to arms to respect yourself, to demand more. The video was shot in a Collingwood warehouse, with the help of two friends, Nick Manuell and Will Maconachie, who have created a video that captures the band’s brash energy, and embodies how the song was recorded: live and in one take. It’s a glimpse at the kind of performances that have won them so many fans in support of the likes of Japandroids, Joyce Manor, Cloud Nothings, The Smith Street Band and Dream Wife on the road in their native Australia.

Press Club will also play their first ever live shows in the UK this coming Spring, with more details to be announced shortly. Bassist Iain MacRae comments; “Absolutely over the moon to be part of the Hassle posse! It's great to finally have someone we trust in our corner after being independent for so long. Let the Antipodean takeover of Europe commence!”

Late Teens is what happens when four Melbourne musicians come together to create a body of work entirely devoid of outside influence, being answerable to only themselves. Over six weeks, bassist Iain MacRae’s house was converted into a temporary song-writing sweatshop where the band wrote forty songs that were distilled into the dozen that make up the track list on Late Teens. Relying upon the experiences of their friends and people they know as subject matter, Late Teens thematically approaches displacement, relationships, internal turmoil, gentrification and inequality. Press Club is the musical embodiment of the attitude of a generation experiencing impermanence in every way.

Press Club is:
Natalie Foster - Vocals
Greg Rietwyk – Guitar
Iain MacRae - Bass

Weitere Infos:

Weiter Infos:
Saintseneca have released a beautiful and epic new live video for “Pillar of Na”, the title track from their acclaimed new album out now via ANTI- Records. The video was directed by Jon Washington at Musicol Studios in the band’s hometown of Columbus, Ohio’s oldest studio and also a vinyl pressing plant. Watch the video HERE.

The live video comes ahead of the band’s UK and Europe tour which starts on November 21st at Oxford’s Jericho Tavern – full list of dates below. Tickets are available HERE.

The album's singles "Frostbiter",  "Ladder to the Sun" and “Beast In the Garden” have been hailed by the likes of NPR, who said "Zac Little's songs often simmer in a sad swirl of death and esoterica, but his deadpan ruminations are buoyed by the sounds of exotic instruments, candy-colored pop hooks and many points in between," and The FADER who said "there is an untamed charm in the way Ohio folk-rock band Saintseneca's latest alternates between wailing chorus and the lead singer's warbling, storybook verses."

Memory is the common thread running throughout the Columbus folk-punk band's fourth album, Pillar of Na, arriving in August 31st via ANTI- Records. Following 2015's critically lauded Such Things, the new album's name is rooted in remembrance, referencing the Genesis story of Lot's wife who looks back at a burning Sodom after God instructs her not to. She looks back, and God turns her into a pillar of salt. "Na," meanwhile, is the chemical symbol for sodium. "Nah" is a passive refusal and the universal song word. It means nothing and stands for nothing. It is "as it is."

Musically, Pillar of Na is Saintseneca's most ambitious album to date, with Little aiming to incorporate genre elements he'd rarely heard in folk. "I wanted to use the idiom of folk-rock, or whatever you want to call it, and to try to do something that had never been done before," Little explains. "To reach way back, echoing ancient folk melodies, tie that into punk rock, and then push it into the future. I told Mike Mogis I wanted Violent Femmes meets the new Blade Runner soundtrack. I'm looking for the intersection between Kendrick Lamar and The Fairport Convention."
