FLEET FOXES – Überraschungsalbum "Shore" ab sofort auf ANTI- erhältlich
Passend zur Tag-und-Nacht-Gleiche veröffentlichten FLEET FOXES überraschend ein brandneues Studioalbum mit dem Titel "Shore" auf ANTI-. Das Album wird ab dem 5. Februar auch physisch erhältlich sein. Zusätzlich liegt ab sofort ein gleichnamiger Road Movie vor, der von Kersti Jan Werdal gedreht wurde und einen tiefen Einblick in die Landschaften des Nordwesten gibt. Die 15 Songs des Albums wurden über einen Zeitraum von zwei Jahren in Hudson (NY), Paris, Los Angeles, Long Island City und New York City mit der Produzentin Beatriz Artola erarbeitet. Inspiration fand Frontmann Robin Pecknold in Form seiner musikalischen Helden wie u.a. ARTHUR RUSSEL, NINA SIMONE, SAM COOKE und EMAHOY TSEGUÉ GUEBROU, die alle trotz des nahenden Todes ihr Leben zelebrierten.
"I see 'shore' as a place of safety on the edge of something uncertain, staring at Whitman’s waves reciting 'death'", kommentiert Pecknold. "Tempted by the adventure of the unknown at the same time you are relishing the comfort of the stable ground beneath you. This was the mindset I found, the fuel I found, for making this album."
Mit ihrem selbstbetitelten Debütalbum startete man 2008 mit einem Knall in die Indie-Szene und ergatterte auf Anhieb zahlreiche Best-of-Platzierungen und erreichte schnell den Gold- sowie Platin-Status in den USA und im Vereinigten Königreich. Das Nachfolger-Album "Helplessness Blues" wurde u.a. für einen Grammy nominiert und platzierte sich hierzulande auf dem elften Platz der Album-Charts. "Crack-Up" aus dem Jahr 2017 führte die Band auf diverse ausverkaufte Headline- und Festivaltouren.

INDII G. – Neu auf Epitaph / Neuer Track "Secrets"
Epitaph gibt mit INDII G. ein brandneues Signing bekannt. Der lo-fi-Rapper aus dem US-Bundesstaat Louisiana präsentiert mit "Secrets" auch gleich einen neuen Track:
"It’s still crazy to me that a label with such a reputation is a fan of my vision", sagt Indii G über die Zusammenarbeit mit seiner neuen Label-Heimat. "I’m just a kid from a small town and it’s truly an honor working with these guys. The whole experience so far has been amazing."
INDII G. ist seit 2016 aktiv und veröffentliche bereits diverse Singles sowie eine EP. Er blickt u.a. auf Kollaborationen mit POWFU und SADBOYPROFILIC zurück sowie auf mehr als zwei Millionen Streams.

MAYDAY PARADE – kündigen neue EP "Out of Here" für 16.10. auf Rise Records an / Erster Song + Lyric-Video "Lighten Up Kid"
MAYDAY PARADE kündigen für den 16. Oktober eine neue EP an! Diese trägt den Titel "Out of Here" und wird auf Rise Records erscheinen. Mit "Lighten Up Kid" steht ab sofort ein erster Vorbote samt Lyric-Video bereit:

"'Lighten Up Kid' is about trying to find yourself and the strength to keep fighting for what you believe in”, erklärt Drummer Jake Bundrick. “It's about being or feeling cut down and hung out to dry but standing up for yourself in the end."
Anfang März begab sich Bundrick gemeinsam mit seinen Bandkollegen Derek Sanders, Brooks Betts, Alex Garcia und Jeremy Lenzo ins Studio und erarbeitete mit den Produzenten Zack Odom und Kenneth Mouth die neue EP. Diese folgt auf das letzte Studioalbum "Sunnyland", das 2018 veröffentlicht wurde, bis dato über 62 Millionen Mal gestreamt wurde und auf fünf Kontinenten live präsentiert wurde.
Aufgrund der Corona-Pandemie sah sich das Quintett gezwungen, ihre Nordamerika-Tour abzusagen. Erst im April veröffentlichte man mit "It Is What It Is" eine brandneue Single sowie im Sommer ein Cover des Beatles-Klassikers "I Want To Hold Your Hand", das diverse Features befreundeter Bands beinhaltet. Darunter u.a. John O’Callaghan (THE MAINE), Travis Clark (WE THE KINGS), DAN LAMBTON (ex REAL FRIENDS), Joe Taylor (KNUCKLE PUCK) und Collin Walsh (GRAYSCALE). Für 2021 sind hierzulande bereits Auftritte auf dem Hurricane und Southside bestätigt.

THE MENZINGERS – Neues Release “From Exile“ ab heute auf Epitaph / Live-Online Event am 10.10.
THE MENZINGERS veröffentlichen heute das Album "From Exile" auf Epitaph. Dabei handelt es sich um eine neuinterpretierte Version des 2019er Erfolgsalbums "Hello Exile". "From Exile" wird am 13. November zusätzlich auf Vinyl erscheinen.
Aufgrund der Corona-Pandemie waren die Amerikaner Anfang des Jahres gezwungen, ihre laufende Australien-Tour abzubrechen. Die Zeit der Isolation nutzte die Band, um "Hello Exile" neu aufzunehmen.
“The live music industry vanished before our eyes, and just like that we were out of work like tens of millions of others,” sagt Sänger und Gitarrist Greg Barnett. “As the weeks progressed the upcoming tours got rescheduled, then rescheduled again, then effectively cancelled. There were times when it all felt fatal. There’s no guide book on how to navigate being a working musician during a global pandemic, so we were left to make it up as we went along. We wanted to document and create in the moment, and though we couldn’t be in the same room together due to social distancing lockdowns, we got creative.”
Zudem wird es am 10.10 einen exklusive "Live At Studio 4“ Stream geben.
The Menzingers will perform a career-spanning full band livestream concert as part of the Live At Studio 4 series, curated by longtime producer and friend Will Yip at his renowned Philadelphia studio, on Saturday, October 10 at 6pm PDT/9pm EDT/2am BST/ 3am CEST. The stream will be full band electric but will also feature a stripped-down portion to celebrate the release of From Exile. Tickets are on-sale now via Live At Studio 4’s website here. The full livestream will be available on-demand to ticket holders for 72 hours.
THE MENZINGERS formierten sich bereits 2006 in Scranton zu Teenager-Zeiten und ordneten sich in der Metropole Philadelphia neu. Seit dem Epitaph-Debüt "On The Impossible Past" (2012) ging es für die Band steil aufwärts. So erreichte "Hello Exile" hierzulande u.a. den 41. Platz der Album-Charts.

SPIRITBOX - Neu bei Rise Records - Limitierte "HOLY ROLLER“ 7“ Vinyl Single am 02.10.
Canadian Progressive Metal outfit and one of the hottest rising bands in heavy music, Spiritbox, have announced that they have signed with globally renowned label, Rise Records in association with Pale Chord. To celebrate this new partnership, the band have launched pre-orders today for a special 7" Vinyl limited to only 1000 copies of their massive hit single "Holy Roller" .The vinyl will be released on October 2nd and will feature the original version of the single as well as a previously unreleased remix with guest vocals from Ryo Kinoshita of Crystal Lake.

TUNNG – teilen neuen Track "Death is the New Sex" / Release "Dead Club" am 06.11. auf Full Time Hobby
Die Alternative-Rock-Band TUNNG kündigte kürzlich mit "Dead Club" ein ganz besonders Projekt für den 6. November auf Full Time Hobby an. Denn "Dead Club" wird nicht nur zwölf neue Tracks beinhalten, die sich mit dem Phänomen des Todes auseinandersetzen. So wird das Thema auch in diversen Podcasts behandelt werden, die wöchentlich erscheinen. Nach "A Million Colours" liegt nun mit "Death is the New Sex" ein weiterer Track vor:
